Pilates works the entire body, emphasizing control,
precision and concentration of both the mind and the
body. Movements are not performed rapidly or
repeated excessively -- the focus is on quality not
quantity. The abdominal muscles, lower back and
buttocks ("powerhouse") serve as the center of all
movement, allowing the rest of the body to move freely.
The focus is on core stabilization, thereby making one
stronger from the inside out and is critical for the
advancement in Pilates.

3 private classes (Ages 16 & over) Take your Pilates training to the next level and
enhance your Pilates experience! Using actual Pilates equipment is different from using
any other machine or using the floor as your 'machine'. With Pilates large equipment,
each person WILL get better balance, form, and technique -- all of which are crucial
elements for the Pilates workout. Receive more personalized attention than in a standard
Pilates group class. If you want to take it to the next level AND ready to get OFF the
floor, this private class is for you. Solo or duet, we will schedule to fit your needs, any
time, any day of the week.
